Kitsuné Kitsuné
Kitsuné.-
French fashion and electronic music record label created in 2002 in Paris by G. Loaëc, Masaya Kuroki and the London-based company Åbäke.
Loaëc and Kuroki, who both like fashion and music, got the idea to start a company involved in both areas during a trip to Japan, where they met a lot of people interested in both fashion and music that were not afraid to combine them in different projects. Before co-founding the company Loaëc worked with Daft Punk and also with Thomas Bangalter's record label Roulé.
The name Kitsuné comes from the Japanese word "kitsune" (きつね, 狐) meaning fox. The kitsune is told to have the power to change appearance and face, that also seems to be Kitsuné’s main goal.
Kitsuné has released albums and worked with artists such as The Whitest Boy Alive, Cut Copy, Hot Chip, La Roux, Foals, Yelle, Wolfmother, Klaxons and Bloc Party among others.
